Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. by Harry Styles released on March 6, 2026. It’s groovy, fun, and upbeat. In recent interviews, Harry has expressed that while writing this album, he’s learned to fall back in love with his music, writing, and performing. The album was inspired by Styles’ experience of nightlife in Berlin and Rome. He wanted to capture the feeling of being in the middle of the dance floor and just letting loose.

When Harry’s single for this album was released, I was hesitant about the sound of it. When I was listening to it for the first time, I was shocked by how different it sounded. Compared to his other albums, this song was synth-heavy with that electro disco feeling. The song is also 5 minutes long! It’s about acknowledging the mistakes you’ve made and realizing that there are things you won’t ever know. The lyrics “It’s best you know what you don’t” are repeated throughout this song. I can definitely tell that he had a lot of fun with this song. I think it’s the perfect single for this record.

It did take me some time to grow on the album. Though, one song that I’ve loved since it’s release, and I’m sure many others can relate, is “Coming Up Roses”. This soft-pop and intimate ballad features an orchestra that really drives the idea that a relationship doesn’t need to last forever in order for it to be special. It reminds me of “Cherry” from Harry’s album Fine Line. In this song, Harry is honest and raw about his feelings after a breakup. I think "Coming Up Roses” is so loved because it is so vulnerable.

If you were to ask me what my favorite song from Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. is I’d say “Dance no More”. This song captures what it was like for him to finally feel free from the pressures he faces as a celebrity. He finally stopped caring about being filmed by fans at a club in Berlin and just danced. I absolutely love that this song is about dancing. The lyrics, the beat, the electric bass, and the chanting in the song are so fun! There’s even a point in the song when Harry scats with the electric bass. It’s my absolute favorite moment! This song could definitely get me out of a bad mood. Heck, this whole album could!

Ever feel like your dorm or room is dull and lacking life? Well, one way to spice up your living space is to create a window garden. As college students or busy adults this may seem like a poor way to spend your precious time, but I have found from my own experience that starting a window garden is not only easy but also a very rewarding activity. It can bring a sense of calm into your daily routine, and even lets you grow your own herbs, food, or flowers. More than anything, it’s a small way to make your space feel more alive, more intentional, and more like your own.

Getting started doesn't require much, in fact you can use what you already have in the house for the most part. To start out, gather some containers. These can be old food jars, plant pots from the store, egg cartons, really anything that can hold dirt and water. I would still recommend you add drainage to these containers by poking holes in the bottom and adding a layer or rocks.  The next step is to start some plants. This will require potting soil and seed. Although, you can sometimes use vegetable scraps. Green onions and celery are perfect for this. Just chop off the root ends, let them sit in water for a few days until they grow roots, then stick them in your pots. From here things are pretty straight forward. For the most part, make sure your plants are getting a decent amount of light. This could be by placing them on the windowsill or a table/desk that gets good sunlight throughout the day. You can grow lamps but it’s not necessary. Next thing is watch what you are watering them with. Rainwater and purified water are going to be the best thing for your plants. Tap water is okay, but I would recommend entering your plants to make sure the chemicals are not hurting them. I would also recommend using room temp water, so you don’t shock your plants from the temperature change.

From here, let’s recap what you’ll need to start your very own window garden:

  • A container with proper drainage

  • Potting soil

  • Seeds or plant starters (or vegetable scraps like green onions or celery)

  • A source of natural light

  • Water (ideally room temperature)

With these few steps you can start your journey to having your very own indoor garden. Not only will you be spicing up your space, but you will also be learning a skill that can transfer to bigger projects like an outdoor garden like the one we have here on the UW-Platteville campus. Starting a garden can be a fun activity to do with friends or just a way to take off the stress of everyday life. Even small, indoor gardens can provide fresh herbs or ingredients, which can be a great addition to simple meals. Over time, you’ll gain more experience with how plants grow and what they need, which can easily be applied to larger gardening projects in the future.

I have always been a person who enjoys animation, and one of my many favorite movies is "Inside Out 2" by Disney Studios. When the first movie came out, it was so cute and straight to the point. I actually didn’t think much about it until the second one came out. The reason I enjoyed this movie a lot is because Riley, the main character, is now in her teenage era, where life has transitioned from the beginning emotions such as Sadness, Joy, Anger, Disgust, and Fear to Anxiety, Ennui, Envy, and Embarrassment. This movie is relatable to anyone, whether emotions are acknowledged or not. There are a few scenes that are very touchy to me, but the one that sticks out is when Riley is having an anxiety attack and doesn't know what to do because it’s so new to her. The original emotions travel from the subconscious (the back part of her head) to their headquarters (the front of her head) and spot the damage that is taking place. There is a visual of Riley’s POV, and Anxiety is running around uncontrollably.

Joy decides to try and control Anxiety by catching her, but she can’t get control of her. The connection at that moment was Joy recognizing that she had to break the concept of who Riley had become based on the actions of Anxiety, putting them into Riley's core memories, making them relevant and monumental milestones. Joy then puts her representation of who Riley is to her but then notices that there is something coming through. She had just learned how to accept the other emotions in the first movie, and now it happens again. As Riley is having thoughts from the different emotions, Joy recognizes that this is who Riley truly is. Riley is a teenager who has many different emotions, and it’s okay to have them. The reason I enjoy this movie is because I wasn’t taught to acknowledge my emotions and embrace them. I am a person who believes in only “good” times, and recently in life, I’ve begun to learn how all emotions play a role in who I am. This movie is so healthy, and I want everyone to see it with an open mind. I believe it should be a requirement in schools, especially for young males, because the world treats them as though they don’t have emotions and are supposed to move as if they were machines. Either way, this is one of my favorite movies in animation that shows value to a world that may not know how relevant everyone is.
